UsVox User Guide: Service and Dial Code
Below is a list of service codes and dial codes available for managing your phone system. Follow the instructions carefully for each type of code.
Service Codes: Interactive Command
These codes require interaction with the server. After dialing the code, the server will prompt you with instructions. Follow the prompts to complete the action.
- *81 – Call Forwarding Management via the Menu
Dial this code to access a menu for managing call forwarding settings. - *72 – Call Forwarding Active
Dial this code, and the server will ask you to enter the forwarding number followed by # (pound). - *73 – Call Forwarding Deactive (Default Answering Mode Management)
Dial this code to deactivate call forwarding and return to default answering mode. - *74 – Call Forwarding Ring Only
Dial this code to set calls to ring only without forwarding. - *75 – Call Forwarding Forward Only
Dial this code to set calls to forward directly without ringing.
Dial Codes: Immediate Action
These codes perform actions immediately upon dialing. They do not require server interaction after the code is entered.
- *999*EXT# – Forward to Voicemail
Dial this code followed by the extension number to forward calls to voicemail. - *98 – Access Voicemail
Dial this code to access your voicemail inbox. - EXT# – Call Transfer to Voicemail (Announced Transfer)
Dial the extension number directly to transfer the call to voicemail using an announced transfer. - *40 or 801 – Group Call Pickup
If another phone is ringing, dial this code to pick up the call from any phone in the group. - *40+EXT# or 801+EXT# – Direct Call Pickup
Dial this code followed by the ringing extension number to pick up that specific call.
Example Use Cases
- Activate Call Forwarding: Dial *72, wait for the prompt, enter the forwarding number, and press #.
- Pick Up a Group Call: Dial *40 or 801 to pick up any ringing call in your office group.
- Forward Calls to Voicemail: Dial *999*EXT# where EXT# is the extension number you want to forward to voicemail.
